In the opening chapters of 2 Samuel, we have the account of David learning of Saul’s death and the political power plays that follow before David unities the country. In Luke 18:1-17, Jesus tells two parables (The Persistent Widow and the Pharisee and the Tax Collector) and calls the little children to him.
