Jim's Notes
In Lamentations 3, Jeremiah expresses the grief of his nation. Lamentations 4 "containing the most vivid portrayal of Judah’s agonies, laments Zion’s punishment, but gives assurances that the punishment will cease" (Reformation Study Bible). Lamentations 4 can be summed up in verse 21, "Restore us to yourself, O Lord..." Hebrews 8 declares Jesus is the High Priest of a better covenant!
