Today's Verse:
If you find yourself several days behind, write down the days and chapters and jump ahead to today. You can read an extra chapter each day until you are caught up.
Welcome to Lamentations! According to tradition, Jeremiah retired after the destruction of Jerusalem by Nebuchadnezzar to a cavern outside the Damascus gate, where he wrote this book. The book consists of five separate poems. (Source: Easton Bible Dictionary). According to The Reformation Study Bible, the central point of Hebrews 7 is that the solemn promise of Psalms 110:4 was fulfilled only in Jesus Christ.

Today's Verse:
For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, holy, innocent, unstained, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens. He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this once for all when he offered up himself. Hebrews 7:26-27
Today's Tip:If you find yourself several days behind, write down the days and chapters and jump ahead to today. You can read an extra chapter each day until you are caught up.
