Today's Verse:
Now concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need to have anything written to you. For you yourselves are fully aware that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. 1 Thessalonians 5:1-2 ESV

Today's Tip:
The attitude with which you approach your daily reading will directly affect what you gain from it. Take an attitude check before you read each day.

Jim's Notes
The coming of salvation for Zion, the day of vengeance, and the mercy of the Lord are themes found in Isaiah 62 and Isaiah 63. Isaiah 64 makes this confession before the Lord, "We have all become like one who is unclean, and all our righteous deeds are like a polluted garment" (Isaiah 64:6 ESV). 1 Thessalonians 5 gives us this final noteworthy instructions: "And we urge you, brothers, admonish the idle, encourage the fainthearted, help the weak, be patient with them all (1 Thessalonians 5:14 ESV).
