Today's Verse:
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 2 Corinthians 9:6,7
Today's Tip:
They say it takes 28 days to create and good habit and only five days to break it. Beware of missing a day.

Jim's Notes
Matthew Henry had this to say about Ecclesiastes 1, "A great scholar cannot be happy unless he be a true saint." The book of Ecclesiastes is a search for the meaning of life which is empty without the Lord. There is some great wisdom found in Ecclesiastes 3:12 where we are told "there is nothing better for them [us] than to be joyful and to do good as long as they [we] live." Great lessons on giving can be found in  the 9th chapter of 2 Corinthians.
