Matthew Henry said this about chapters 30 and 31 of Proverbs: "This and the following chapter are an appendix to Solomon’s proverbs; but they are both expressly called prophecies in the Prov. 30:1; 31:1; by which it appears that the penmen of them, whoever they were, were divinely inspired" (Matthew Henry's Commentary). Chapter 8 of 2 Corinthians is a call to give generously.
