In Hosea 9 and 10, the Lord pronounces punishment on Israel for their sins; but in chapter 11, he reminds them that he loves them (For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.. Hebrews 12:6). The theme of chapter 2 and 3 or Revelations can be summed up in these words: "He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches" (Revelations 2:7).
