Jim's Notes:
After the fall of the Northern Kingdom (i.e. Israel), our OT reading gives us a detailed account of Hezekiah reigns in Judah and the threat of Sennacherib the king of Assyria. The prophet Isaiah reassures Hezekiah and Hezekiah prays. In the Gospel of John, Jesus teaches he is the Bread of Life.
