Today's Bible Reading
Genesis 37
Matthew 12:1-21
Today's Tip
A reminder! Remember that you are reading through the Bible and not trying to make an in-depth study. Make a brief note of a verse or passage and go back later to study and keep reading. Stay on Track. Note: I appear to be having some problems with linking the audio. Please bear with me. Thanks.
Jim's Notes:
Genesis 36 gives us a long list of Esau's descendants and Edom's kings. Don't let the long names drag you down. Remind yourself that God knows us by name. Genesis 37 opens a new door for us and the central character is Joseph. Joseph family life is lacking and his life take a u-turn when he is sold into slavery by his brothers. In Matthew 12, Jesus teaches on the Sabbath, heals a crippled man and meets his strongest resistance yet.
