Today's Verse:
But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me. 2 Timothy 1:12 ESV

Today's Tip:
Allow the Holy Spirit to teach you and read the word with an attitude to learn.

Jim's Notes
Jeremiah is an example of how people can hate the truth. Jeremiah continues to proclaim this cry for repentance: "3 Thus says the Lord: Do justice and righteousness, and deliver from the hand of the oppressor him who has been robbed. And do no wrong or violence to the resident alien, the fatherless, and the widow, nor shed innocent blood in this place" (Jeremiah 22:3 ESV). Welcome to 2 Timothy! Paul writes his younger friend and encourages him to "fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you" (2 Timothy 1:6 ESV)
