The Song of Solomon is also called the Song of Songs. According to the Introduction in Life Application Study Bible the purpose of the book is "To tell of the love between a bridegroom (King Solomon) and his bride, to affirm the sanctity of marriage, and to picture God's love for his people." 2 Corinthians 12 tells of Paul's visions and revelation, his throne, and his concern for the Corinthian church.
