Today's Verse:
So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ. Romans 10:17 ESV
Today's Tip:
Remember that you are reading through the Bible and avoid the temptation to study a passage in depth until you have finished your reading.
Jim's Notes:
Psalm 88 is the prayer of a desperate man. It starts depressed and ends the same. When you feel the world is about to swallow you, remember to cry out to the "O Lord, God of my salvation" (v. 1). Psalm 89 starts out, "I will sing of the steadfast love of the Lord" (v.1) and ends "Lord, where is your steadfast love of old" (v.49). Romans 10 is the message of salvation.
