Today's Tip:
"The Bible is not an end in itself, but a means to bring men to an intimate and satisfying knowledge of God, that they may enter into Him, that they may delight in His Presence, may taste and know the inner sweetness of the very God Himself in the core and center of their hearts." (A. W. Tozer, The Pursuit of God. Christian Publications. 1948. pg. 10).

Jim's Notes:
Hang on as 2 Kings takes us through different kings that ruled Israel (Northern Kingdom) and Judah (Northern Kingdom). Note this phase that appears often in 2 Kings; "He also did what was evil in the sight of the Lord." A major event occurs 2 Kings; the death of Elisha. Note witnesses to Jesus in John 5, especially verse 30: “I can do nothing on my own.  As I hear, I judge, and my judgment is just, because I seek not my own will but the will of him who sent me."
